Good morning holiday - busy life - BEST NEWS - 31th BD

Been a long time that I've almost forgot I've this blog for myself!!

Good morning Wednesday 7th March, Makabhucha day, 3 days away from my birthday. I'm now 31 years + 3 days!! yeh.

A super busy period of life that came with reputation and money?

I got a glasses as my BD present from my lovely wife, it's Persol 3007 clip-on. I will review it later, may be next year....haha.

BEST NEWS....I'm having baby!!! As of today, he or she is now 8 full weeks. The ultrasound last week shows a heartbeat (with sound...excited sound ever) and 1.2cm in length. Perfect. We are looking for this day for quite sometime. Well, Bow's now like a turtle. Sleep and do nothing as she has to be very careful and aware of our kids. Folks said everything will be fine after 3 months, around 12 weeks....4 weeks to go.

IWC Portofino 3563-05 : My First IWC

Just bought into collection the IWC Portofino model 3563 color 05 Stainless Steel Black dial with Black Aligator Strap. Accidentally I've bought this watch on dad-mom wedding anniversary, May 29th.

This "Portofino" is a classic fine watch that has very simple looking. All markers are using simple " | " line. No numeric showing except the date display. The whole body polish finishing made the watch looks more to dressy than sporty. Its black is real dark black.

Only one thing that dissatisfy me is the solid case back. I almost bought Zenith Elite Ultra Thin over this Portofino just because it has a really really nice mechanical showing on caseback.

PS. actually this 3563 was replaced by 3565 already. But still IMO the 3563 is more simple elegance. That's why I choose the previous one :P

Still Beating Vintage Mido - Me and my Wife

Both are our predecessor's own watch!!

3rd generation for gold. 2nd generation for silver.

Still beating like a young man. Actually like a teenager cause it's beat bit too fast. Both of these being on earth long before us. Love'em.

Technically, they has old-style date-setting, means needs to roll the hour and minute for a complete day to get the date change.

Minami Pituvong --> 4th met

A girl named Minami Pituvong. Her daddy is Mr. Bob who is my wife's big brother. And her mommy is Toshiyo Hayashi. I've met her 4 times and for no more than 2 weeks each time we met.

First met at her house, New Jersey while she was only 1.5 years old. We didn't talk much cause she still too young to talk. Only play some little thing.

Second met at Bangkok while she came to my wedding celebration with her family. That time she was 2.5. Still she and me not in communication. This time she speak some Chinese some English but still hard to understand what she's trying to say. She still young.
A moment that still in my memories is on the night before me and Bow leave to Koh Phi Phi, Phuket for our honeymoon. It is night time for Bow to says bye bye to Minami. In front of elevator 4th floor Mariotte resort&spa Bangkok, a kid actually sent some feeling without saying anything to Bow, I can feel it and still remember that moment very well.

Third met was at Bangkok again when she came to join Mr. Bon wedding. It is 1 year after my wedding. She was 3.5 years old. Now communication is possible.

Last time is just last week. She's here at Bangkok again but this time only with her daddy, Bob. She has grown up a lot. Very funny and naughty. This time we can have lots of conversation and play. Lots of activities we did together. It is nice to have her here at Bkk. Everybody happy especially Ar Ma and Bow, but also tired playing with her too...haha. She really has loads of energy. She has just left Bangkok yesterday early morning. It is a touching moment seeing little kid and Ar Ma hug each other and cry before she left. Also little kid who ask all of us to have breakfast and lunch together before she left just to later realized that the plane is leaving in next one hour. Well, ไม่มีงานเลี้ยงใดไม่มีวันเลิกรา ...... see you next time girl!!

Vintage Mido Ocean Star Commander Powerwind

Be a third generation to look after this watch for the next generation. Not an expensive watch but is a valuable one. Was given by daddy on 22 May 2011. This watch might need some restoration on the bracelet. Movement works well. Not much scratch on the acrylic. The case has some dig but that due to its age.

Date of manufacturing and buying is still unknown but age should runs around 40 years old. There's 7 digits and 4 digits mark on the case back. I will need to do some observation.

One surprising is that the date is not "quick-set". You will need to roll it over and over to get current date!!! which is a pain.

Oliver Peoples Vintage 505 - my 1st OP

A reproduction model of Oliver Peoples OP-505 first produced in 1987, when I was just 6. Mr. Larry re-make this to maintain its classic design and memories. This pair is in Olive Tortoise and Tokai lens fit in by Paris Miki Thailand. Me now got -1.75, what about next 3 years!?

Equipments improve your game - TRUE

There were so many things to update in this blog since beginning of the year.

Here's my Mizuno Mp-58 with its bag, shoe, and etc...bought at new year 2010-2011. I would play with this set for 10 more years at least I believe.

Well, beside this, I also get a Scotty Cameron California Hollywood in 35". Very sharp while put. Very handsome while carry. but very sucks that the color is fade.

Cheers to the good equipment. Now it's time to improve the swing.
P.S. just record my lowest score at 93 last Saturday.....cool
